Menopause Counselling for

Anxiety, Mood Changes and

Emotional Wellbeing

Calm, practical counselling to support women navigating anxiety, mood changes, overwhelm, and identity shifts during menopause.

If you’re thinking, “I should be handling this better…”

You’re not failing. Many women find that menopause can trigger anxiety, mood changes, sleep disruption, and a loss of confidence.

Many women seek menopause counselling when anxiety, sleep disruption, low mood, or identity changes begin to affect everyday life.

Menopause counselling can provide calm, practical support during this transition.

Sessions are provided by Henriette O’Bryan, menopause-informed counsellor who has undertaken specialist menopause CPD, including training with the British Menopause Society and the EMBERS® Menopause-Informed CBT model, and delivers the “What Helps Hot Flushes” programme.

Prefer to talk first?

Some people prefer to have a brief chat before booking a full session.

If you would like to speak first, you are welcome to arrange a free 15-minute introductory call to ask questions and see whether the support I offer feels right for you.

You can contact me using the contact form on my website or by phone +44 (0)7774 720 415 and we can arrange a convenient time. This short call is simply an opportunity to ask questions — it is not a therapy session.

Menopause can affect far more than symptoms. It can shake your sleep, mood, identity, and relationships — and it can feel lonely trying to “just cope.”

In 1:1 sessions, we slow things down and work with what’s really going on for you, so you leave with tools you can use immediately.

STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?

Is 1:1 Therapy For Me?
  • Hot flushes, sleep disruption, anxiety, or overwhelm are wearing you down

  • You feel more emotional, irritable, or “not like yourself”

  • Your confidence has dipped (especially at work or socially)

  • You’re people-pleasing, exhausted, or struggling with boundaries

  • Midlife identity shifts are hitting hard (empty nest, caring roles, relationship changes, loss of direction)

  • You’ve tried lots of tips, but nothing is sticking

What happens in a session?

Each session is paced and tailored to you. We’ll:

  • make sense of what’s driving your stress and symptoms (without judgement)

  • part of the assessment explores which area to focus on 1st (e.g. energy, sleep, anxiety, confidence, hot flush distress, identity, sense of belonging, sense of loss due to life transitions, purpose or something else you feel is important)

  • practice a tool you can use immediately, if appropriate/appicable

  • agree a small, realistic step for the week ahead

What we can work on:
  • Menopause anxiety, overwhelm, irritability, low mood

  • Sleep disruption and nighttime worry

  • Hot flush distress and confidence in public/work situations

  • Self-compassion, boundaries, people-pleasing, burnout

  • Identity and purpose changes in midlife

  • Stress patterns that amplify symptoms
